Many global companies provide support to organizations in the communities where they do business. These investments may be in the form of direct financial contributions or employees who volunteer their time and expertise. Some organizations encourage employees to volunteer by providing funds to support team projects. For instance, JPMorgan Chase allows employees to apply for grants for community organizations after they have volunteered a minimum number of hours. Faculty members support community efforts can partner with local employees to engage in volunteer efforts of mutual interest.
