Global Enterprise Technology (GET) interns bring their experiences back to the classroom

The life cycle of technology projects in large-scale global operating environments typically run for several months and requires a longer engagement before students gain enough project experience to make meaningful work contributions. Students who participate in the 8-month GET internship program become part of the project team, working alongside experienced technologists, and are given work assignments critical to the project's success. The longer duration of the internship enhances both learning and on the job productivity. When these students return to the classroom, they are better able to relate the curriculum to their real-world experiences.

The required online coursework during their internship challenges students to reflect on how their studies relates to the real world and to share their experiences and perspectives on how to be successful in a global enterprise organization with other students in their cohort. When they return to school, they bring with them a wealth of experiences to contribute to the classroom dialogue, which enhances learning for all students.
