Students at participating universities enrolled in the GET curriculum are eligible to apply for the Immersion Experience Internship with companies participating in The HUB collaboration. The Internship begins in January and ends in August. Through a combination of earning credit for the Immersion Experience a required online course and optional additional online courses, students are able to stay on track to graduate in 4 years. The Internship provides students with a rich work experience while enrolled in an integrated, faculty-led parallel course, which takes place over the same period. It combines daily work at the student's respective company and coursework encourages students to reflect on their experiences, sharing them with other interns working in the same company and, as appropriate, with interns from other companies. Students are eligible to participate in the GET Immersion Experience beginning in their Sophomore year.
Students apply for the Immersion Experience in September; final selections are made in November. Immersion Experience assignments begin in January.
