JPMorgan Chase and Syracuse University established a unique collaboration in June 2007 that models a new way for universities and global corporations to work together for mutual benefit and the public good. The collaboration includes a new, jointly designed academic program in Global Enterprise Technology (GET). Truly interdisciplinary in nature, the GET curriculum is designed to better prepare students for successful technology careers in complex, large-scale and global operating environments.
Upon graduation, students will have gained a broad understanding of the issues that arise in the global marketplace and the technical skills to navigate an organization through those issues. This unique corporate-university collaboration gives students best in class courses, unparalleled internship opportunities, and prominent speakers in the fields of financial services and information technology. The GET curriculum prepares students to manage the technological and financial infrastructures that make the global commerce of tomorrow possible.
In 2008, Syracuse University introduced a GET undergraduate minor designed to prepare students from all undergraduate majors for careers in globally-distributed, technology-driven organizations. The GET minor includes business, engineering and computer science, and information management courses.
