UD Research: Advancing Business Through Knowledge

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching classifies the University of Delaware as a research university with very high research activity - a designation accorded to less than 3 percent of U.S. colleges and universities.

High quality research is one the University of Delaware's core strengths. UD's 50 research centers reflect the diversity and rigor of its research interests, including work in fuel cells, catalytic science and technology, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, information and communication sciences, biotechnology and much more.

A national leader in fostering undergraduate research, the University of Delaware offers research apprenticeships with faculty mentors in all disciplines, and about 700 undergraduates take advantage of the opportunity each year.
